About Us

Agapewo Ministry Uganda is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in Busoga sub region. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration, our work takes us into the heart of communities, where we empower children and families to help themselves. We work with other non- organizations, government, and a variety of local partners while maintaining our own independence without political agenda or religious orientation.

Agapewo Ministry Uganda's culture is one of accountability, ambition, collaboration, creativity and integrity. Each and every staff member and volunteer of Agapewo Ministry Uganda shares these values that, either individually or through teamwork, drive our breakthroughs for children.

Our Vision, Mission, Values and Achievements

Agapewo Ministry Uganda is an  independent organization working directly with women, youths children.

Vision:  A society that is wealthy, healthy and successful.

Mission:  To enhance community's initiatives on development and prevention of HIV/AIDS and Agapewo Ministry Uganda exists  to undertake actions for community sustainable development, promoting information about child rights, child abuse and neglect through community mobilization and sensitization, policy advocacy and capacity building, education and health support. Working with Orphans and Vulnerable Children and communities for a sustained impact.

Goal is to serve as a center for information sharing, empowering the children, youth and women in participation in developmental programs and against HIV/AIDS.


Accountability: We take collective responsibility for using our resources efficiently, achieving measurable results and being accountable to supporters, partners, and most of all, children.

Ambition: We demand the best of ourselves and our colleagues, set high goals and firmly commit to improving the quality of everything we do for children.

Collaboration: We respect and value each other, thrive on our diversity and work with partners to leverage our global strength in making a difference for women, youths and children incorporating physical disability and HIV/AIDS as cross cutting issues.

 Creativity: We are open to new ideas, embrace change and take disciplined risks to develop sustainable solutions for and with women, youths and children incorporating physical disability and HIV/AIDS as cross cutting issues.

 Integrity: We aspire to live to the highest standards of personal honesty and behavior; we never compromise our reputation and always act in the best interests of women, youths and children.

Specific Objectives


(a) To establish strategies for ensuring a proper access to health care, social welfare and poverty eradication for the disadvantaged i.e. youths, women, People with Physical Disabilities and elderly.

(b) To organize members into viable economic groups for the purpose of ensuring fair market for their produce, including both farm and garden outputs.

(c) To build, construct, maintain and manage a vocational training center, schools, a community resource center and medical facilities.

(d)  To raise awareness on the needs, problems, limitations, leakages and potential of youths, People with Physical Disabilities, widows and people with talents through seminars, workshops and financial support

(e) To  provide  a  forum  for  exchange  of  research  information  on  the  problems affecting women, youths and children in Busoga sub region.

 (f) To generate funds and other resources for action in the field of training community members in HIV/AIDS prevention, support and care.

 (g) To promote literacy among the children, youth and women through school fees support, scholastic materials and skills development.

 (h)  To carry out policy and other women and children related law advocacy and sensitization for their rights and particularly as set out in the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda and other local and international instruments of laws.

(i)  To promote higher standards of living of people in the rural parts of Busoga sub region and to cater adequately or the increasing needs of the people.

(j) To carry out business in small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

(k)   To work hand in hand with lawfully registered and recognized local NGOs in Uganda whose Aims and Objectives are similar to those of our organization for the purpose of achieving any or all of these objectives.

 (l)  To carry out activities at organizational and community levels for the protection, management and conservation of natural resources like natural waters, forests and other Eco-systems.

(m)  to carry out activities purposely for addressing climatic changes and weather issues in communities affected and those at risk of being affected by the same.
